Icon9 4-way active crossover setup: tweeter issue

So, I'm thinking that I'm going to install my new setup with fully active crossovers. This doesn't seem to be a problem for the sub, mid-bass, and mid speakers, as I can match RMS to an amp for each set pretty easily and the adjustable crossovers on an audiocontrol 6xs can accomadate the responses, but the tweeters:
I want to run two sets (although I have three, just think its overkill) of dr-26s cdt tweeters (the high level 1' silk domes), but the RMS on these things without the passive crossovers is 10RMS!!!! I mean, I can't find anything to run these with very well. How can I best install the two pairs (or three if I'm better off going with a six channel amp that may be easier to find in the 10RMS range)? Help me out. Thanks guys. I've got the passive crossovers by the way, for all of my sets, and so I can easily go passive, I just feel like I could improve my SQ by going all active.

Yes, but by including two sets of tweeters you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Well, the second set of tweeters would be for imaging... I've grown to enjoy the sound of a set of tweeters down in the kicks with the mids and a set on dash corners... maybe it's a flaw, but is it that intrinsically deterring for SQ setups? I mean, I know you've got to expect some interference, but could the imaging not be worth that for certain setups?

You can make a single set of tweeters image better than two...if you have stage height issues, use Velcro and try them in different locations until you find the spot that works in your vehicle

The power handling is not an issue as long as there is some crossover present. It doesn't have to be the supplied passive unit. 10W is with no high pass on it at all. With a full 3-way set you should be able to go pretty high on the tweet high pass and that tweet will handle plenty.

Re: 4-way active crossover setup: tweeter issue

I also think you are overestimating how much power your tweeters actually operate on.

It doesn't take but ~20w (actual applied power, not "amplifier rated" power) to get a tweeter ear-piercingly loud.

Also......If you are dead-set on running a second pair of tweeters I'd recommend crossover them over high, somewhere in the range of 7khz-10khz. Though as Jim mentioned, properly setup they should not even be necessary.
