    what the crap??

    ok i have a power acoustic ov2-820 and a kicker solo 10 l5

how could i wire this up the best???

    the amps ratings are
    180rms x2 @ 4 ohms
    230rms x2 @ 2 ohms
    460rms x1 mono
    820max x1

    the sub is
    900w max
    450w rms(225 per voice coil)

how could i wire these to get the best results, without hurting either component?

if the amp is rated at one ohm than do the dual 2 ohm ....and parallel the sub..that is one ohm it will bump..

yea, so if your amp is 1 ohm stable then get the DVC 2 ohm....if its only 2ohm stable then get the DVC 4 ohm

    its 2 ohm
so bridge the amp, and run both positive coils together(same with negative)

Is the 460x1 rating at 4 ohms or 2 ohms? Seems to me like it would be at 4 ohms seeing as most 2 channel amps aren't 2 ohm bridged stable. In that case you would get the dual 2-ohm version and wire the coils in series. You only have one sub correct?

Well, since it looks like that amp's power is 460x1 @4 ohms. So you have to get the dual 2-ohm and wire the sub in series. That way the amp sees a 4 ohm bridged load.
