    Subwoofer wiring to amp

I have this Xtreme 1500x that I'm selling to a friend and going to install it for him. He's going to be hooking it up to two 4 ohm svc subs. This wiring diagram in the manual shows that to hook up two 4 ohm subs, you would hook one up to each output. However, the amp is 2 ohm stable. Would there be anything wrong with running the two speakers in parallel and bridging the amp?

Also, how would I physically wire the subs in parallel? Am I just to shove 2 sets of speaker wire in the first sub? (One going to the amp and one going to the other sub) A picture of someone's wiring would be awfully helpful.

That's a mono amplifier. There's nothing to bridge. The reason they have two sets of terminals is for convenience. Internally they are wired together in parallel.

So, using the wiring in the first diagram, will give the amp a 2 ohm load.

    Hope this helps!

Alright, thanks for the help. I always wondered why it was a mono block with two "channels"
