    Amp wiring kit

    I am gettin a Hifonics Zeus Z4000 amp soon, and was wondering about wiring. Does anybody know anything about this amp? What size fuse should I get? I'm going to run it at 4 ohms bridged giving 400 watts to my Shocker SS. Anybody have any tips I should know before hookin it up?

    4 gauge wire should be fine for that amp.

    That amp has a fuse rating of 40, so a 50 amp AGU fuse should be fine.....I think lightning audio makes 40 amp ones, not sure though - it doesnt make a big difference, 10 amps more isnt a problem......and get an ANL fuse if you plan to upgrade in the future.

    4 ga would certainly work, but 8 ga. would get it done too. Basically it depends on your future plans for the system. 4 ga would allow a pretty big upgrade.

    You can get agu fuses from 20-80 at 10 amp intervals. 8 ga. upper limit is 60A and 4 ga is good for 100-125 (anl fuse).
