it depends on what wire you run
i ran 4 gauge through one and the fuse and block only cost me about 10 dollars
the MUCH bigger one can take up to 1/0... i also had to run one of these for a 150 amp fuse for my MTX81000D (1500 watts)
go here for a lot of help.... http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/caraudio.htm

I'm running my 1000.1D (@ 2 ohms) and 200.2 (@ 4 ohms stereo) on an 80A agu (4 ga to d-block and about a foot of 8ga to each amp). If you're running the 1000.1D HARD at 1 ohm it would probably be wise to go with a 100A fuse. That would require an anl fuse b/c as far as I know 80 is as big as agu's get.

whatever size fuse is already on the amp would be perfect.

if there are, say, two 40 amp fuses, add it up and put an 80 amp inline fuse in.

    dont fuse the ground.
    dont fuse rcas.

im not sure exactly what your amp calls for in terms of fuses, but it should say either in the owners manual, somewhere online, or just add up all the fuses you got on the amp right now.

when in doubt, check the ground.
