how close is it going to be to the amp?
I've heard of people fusing both ends, but I think it would be better to fuse it near the Optima side of the wire.

its going to be less than a foot away from the amp, and the optima in the front is already fused, also my equipment is two 12" L7's and a zx2500. So should i fuse it back there near the amp as well or not?
the wire between the batteries yes you want a fuse under the hood and a fuse in the trunk
