OK I have a Mod MATTS D300HC and I would just like to know what I need to power this amp what kind of battery I need and any thing other you can think of I need also? And do you think that this amp will blow my cerwin vega stroker 18" I just got the sub reconed and I am not looking to have it done anytime soon.
to adequately power an amp you need to know a few things:
How much amperage will the amplifier draw?
How far will the amp be located from the battery?
How much amperage output is the alternator?
Once you have this...go to the monstercable website and ensure that you have good power cable first. Some people have had good sucess placing an additional battery closer to the amp.
