    Audio Installation Certification?

I've wanted to apply to various car audio shops around my area of Daytona Beach, FL, and apparently I need some sort of certificate to install car audio. I googled the topic and found various trade schools that I must go to, but nothing directly relating to the certification. I know that most of the installers are college students who wouldn't have the time to attend a trade school, so can anyone tell me where I can get such a certification? Is it a course I attend for a couple weeks? Any feedback is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rob

They are most likely talking about MECP certification.

You live in daytona, why not go to the Installer Institute?

Nobody's heard them. They aren't in production yet. There is no prototype even available. But he should still consider them. They will rock. I promise.
PS: The new Squeaksters will be a midwoofer addition to my subwoofer line, the Squeakinators

    Re: Audio Installation Certification?

I looked up the MECP and that is definetly what I am looking for. As for the Installer Institute, I'll research it and see if I have the time/money to go that far. Thanks for all the help though, I don't think I would have found that on my own.
