HELP No Sound...can anyone hear me?

First here is my setup...don't laugh because this is my baby. The head unit is an Alpine 7618, to the Alpine 3331 EQ. I have a Alphasonik amp powering my AssKicker 10" subs. Then I have a Nakamichi PA-304 amp powering my satellites.
The problem is that I have no sound coming out of my satellites. There was sound coming out, but it sounded like an amp was clipping. Finally no sound at all except from the subs. I changed the Nak amp, and still the same problem. What else can I check before going to a shop. All the wirings behind the eq are securely tight. Car is a 93 Acura Integra GS.

Where are your gains set at? What guage power and ground wire are you using? How long is your ground and what is it grounded to? Wires to check for: All power and ground connections, RCA connections, secure fuses, speaker wire at the speakers and the amp. If all speakers went out then there is a problem with the installation, EQ or HU. Try bypassing the EQ completely.

Wow thats a mouth full. Let me back track a bit and see if it helps, I am a novice at installation side. System was installed 9 years ago by a local audio center, now chapter 11. Because the system was working for 9 years, is it safe to assume my wirings, ground, gauges are correct. The sattelites are stock acura, so again I have to assume that wiring is fairly tight and correct. I check fuses at amp, they are fine. Last is How do I bypass the EQ, doesn't the 7618 need the EQ before the amp? I looked in the back and it was like the wires were growing like wildfire.

    The plot thickens...........

If the system was installed 9 years ago, then yes I would assume that the wiring configuration and installaion is not the problem. I suspect that the EQ is the source of the problem. Another possibility is corrosion at a power or ground connection. As for bypassing the EQ - Do you have an RCA cable running from the HU to the EQ and then to the amps? If yes then run an RCA from the HU directly into the Nak amp and then into the Alphasonic. All the EQ does is allow you to enhance the sound.

the EQ could also prevent sound from passing, how do u have ur stereo wire to the EQ, i forgot what kind of EQ you said u had after reading that novel. but get a multi meter and see if you are getting anything after the amp to the speakers, then check from the EQ to the amp, and finally from the HU to the EQ
