whats the best for my blazer

i have a two door 97 s-10 blazer and i have two 12 in alpine type R's dvc now and i am getting two more soon. What would be the best way to put all four behind the rear seat and also be the loudest they can be at the same time.

without knowing the interior dimensions of a blazer... and not knowing the specs of your subs... i now can only suggest you follow alpine's guidelines for optimum box volume and face the box(s) toward the rear of the vehicle in order to optimize bass response... discuss and audition several amps (preferably with your subs) in order to determine the best amp(s) to drive your subs in your type of vehicle.

    good luck and good listening!

Ive only got one 12" sub and a little punch 360 amp......in a 2001 Blazer with the stock radio and i was able to hit 135.7db's.....as long as you take your time and build the right enclosure for your subs...I think you'll be real happy with 4 type R subs in your blazer...

    1-Abc Box 5.?? cubes
    1-12" Fosgate HX2 DVC 2ohm
    1-Punch 360.2 amp =135.7 dB's

well, first you must follow alpine's recomendations for enclosure volume in order to get the best bang possible. i am not familiar with the ohm ratings of the subs or the rockford's capabilities (you did'nt give any specs) but would guess you are currently running the 2 subs in parallel and would suggest you buy another RF 500 amp to match the one you have when you pickup the 2 new subs. make sure the sub enclosure faces the rear of the truck and points upward ever so slightly (you don't want to lose all your bass out of the roof panel since they tend to be flimsy)... since you will be lining up 48" worth of subs in a 40" wide space i would suggest a slight "V" shape with the subs facing towards each other. make sure each sub is in its own enclosure! if you are not planning on making your own box and cannot find a prefab one... you can accomplish the same results with 2 seperate 2x12" sealed boxes angled towards each other.

    good luck and good listening!
