    Second Battery in the trunk?

    i am running a optima yellow top up front....and im def in need of more power....my amp just kills my current setup......can i just run my old battery that WAS upfront in my trunk? and how would i wire it etc.... thanks ahead of time



    TCAB and 2 SI Mag 15"
    2 Kicker kx2500.1
    Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.1
    1/0 all around
    big 3 done in 1/0,Yellow Top d31t.

    Refs: spkrman x2,folgrz,bumpngt,belunt,lastcall, gl0ck mikeyboc, rippinitup7, SBLAZER, SWEET06CAMRY, blaze383, tweet02, wackdogg, dB Dom

    **** cause now i ll have 2 batt layin around unused.....any other suggestions....should i have kept the stock batt up front and put the yellow top in back?

    yea, you could do that and isolate the yellow top. but if you get a second yellow top you can gain a lot more power...

    I'd consider buying a new alt. Adding a second battery is gonna make your alt **** blood.

    my alt is takin a **** as it is....where are the cheapest places that install and sell good alts....any how many amps am i lookin at for my system??? and how much power will it rob from my engine?

    acura rl 1999....and a max possible draw of 175 ish amps for the whole car ....taking in account if everythign were at full tilt lol

    well both of em had good points....well a new alt will be 400 or so installed im assuming....new yellow around 150......i was told just to get another yellow and charge it once in a while
