my box is for two tens, with two central ports shooting up into the trunk lid.
i was told that by gluing wall insulation onto the insides of the box the bass will pound louder and with better sound,.is this true?
and if so how much should i glue?

No insulation wont make it louder or pound harder.. It will however dampen resonant frrequencies and standing waves that make being next to a box sound like crap. try it both ways just use velcro or something to hold it up while you test it out then you can remove it without having spent a lot time doing it.

in my box i used poly fill which is what they use to fill pillows. i used insullation before that and i think the poly fill works better then home insullation or even just an empty box. but try the poly fill, i think it works great.
