Quick, simple question about multiple amps

I know that if you have more than two amps it's necessary to wire the remote to a relay and it's still a safe bet to do it with one or two amps; but if you have more than two components or amps that need a turn-on signal, can you just wire two of them to the head unit's remote output and the other one/two component(s) to the ignition wire or some other switched 12V source?

different amps have different current draws on the REM line. so yeah, but be sure to fuse it. I have my amps on manual switches AFTER a relay off the HU. 1 for sub amps, 1 for front stage. The HU has to be on for them to even be able to switch on.
HU's have a delay built-in to help prevent turn-on pop. The HU fires up, then sends the remote on signal. If the amp is on first, you are much more likely to get a pop when the HU turns on.

there's an article on bcae1.com about different amp draws...some are quite high.
