    Optima Yellow Top Problem

When I was hooking up my system I ran my two 4 guage from the under the hood to the yellow top under the trunk, then from that battery to my Orion 2500d, when I went up front to put the anl fuses in the fuse holders, one of them started making a noise like something was sizzling, so I yanked it out. Could it be a short in my battery in the trunk, because when I run the wires directly to the amp I dont have an problem at all. Can somebody help me?

Your supposed to ground the trunk battery in the trunk and then just run the positive from either the alternator or the number one batt to the secondary. or get an isolator.
