    Power And Ground Gauge Size

Alright, I have the old Rockford Fosgate Power BD1000. It has the rounded off end caps. I just wanted to know what is the biggest gauge wire it accept for the power and ground terminal. I got 8 gauge wire for speaker and it fits perfectly.

probably the biggest is 2awg, but why don't you try for yourself.

8 gauge for the speaker wires? Is that alittle excessive? I think I'm running 12 gauge for mine. Is there any significant gain by running that thick of wire?
