    Wtt: Cerwin vega Stroker 2000 amp for amp that does rated at 0.5 or 2 ohm

    I have a cerwin vega s2000.1 amp that does 2000 watts rms at 1 ohm-which is under rated.

    Looking to trade it for another amp capable of doing rated power at .5 or 2 ohm.

    Maybe a kicker or even an ap3k and cash. Or something.

    Amp is like new, have original box, bass knob, and packaging.

    Does this amp not like .5 ohm?

    No idea. Probably would be fine. But I'm doing a daily setup so dont want to have to worry about it.

    Hm, I'd be interested if I knew it would run @ .5...but all I have for trade is a zx1500 so you wouldnt really be gaining any power

    I'm in port charlotte.

    And it would probably run .5 ohm but I'd rather play it safe.

    I don't know if this was one of mine originally, but I used to have 3 of these (and want them back. lol). I tested them @ .5 and it held up fine in burp and clamp testing. I would say for daily, if you have the electrical that it would be fine. The amp has some pretty sophisticated on board diagnostics that will taper output if it gets in trouble.

    BTW- with gain set clean with a scope, I clamped... 2,250w rising to 1.52ohms with voltage drop to 12.5v.

    Also, my teammate is using this amp in a temporary trunk setup. He just did a 155 (outlaw) on a pair of old *** cheap 15's.
