She needs a new box if she really wants to notice any difference, and you know it TJ. Same amp, same box, same car, different subs.... Not going to a big difference. Now if she were planning on running 2k or so in the future, she could get those bigger subs now, and she'd notice a difference down the line as she upgrades her box and amp. IMO she should go with a pair of 10's or a single 15 ported anyways. 12's (usually) just take up way too much space.
