That Rockford 4K isn't the right piece to play with low impedance. When they blow up, you need to send them to RF for a whole new board. AFAIK Nobody repairs just components on them.
Well it sounds like it's not a good idea but I've been doing it for a while. Years with no problems at all. Two strapped at 1.34 ohm and soon each will be wired on their own to 0.7 ohm. I have "good" listening habits I guess. But on second thought maybe I'll run them at 1.4 ohm on my new build...
