Cheap Active HU

[Why So Cereal?]

Just looking for a decent active HU to play around with until I get the Pioneer P99 in May.

The cheaper the better....

I will tell you that it uses the Front HPF as the mid LPF. You cannot over/underlap. 1.6khz-16khz for the front HPF and mid (rear)LPF. 31.5-200hz on the others.

On thing I really like about this unit is the amp gain setting. Using the low power setting caps the volume at 30/50. It keeps passengers or anyone from cranking the thing all the way up which has been a problem for me over the years.

I have an alpine but I don't remember if it is a 9815 or 9813. I also have the alpine plug & play amp for all black plug alpine units.

I almost bought one, but I like using USB sticks to play the majority of my music. I'll probably eventually get the new PRS since it has that option, or the Clarion CZ702.

Yea, I noticed the USB thing too. I never use them anyway though...always CDs and on VERY rare occasions my iPod and he's throwing that module in with it soooo...
