WTB 2 Alpine X's and a good amp to power them

I have R's right now and they just arent loud enough so im looking to upgrade to X's and get a bigger amp maybe another ppi or a kicker amp

How big of an amp you looking for my boi has a kicker 1500.1 he is trying to get rid of? I think he wants like 450 or somthing like that all brand new!

the r and the x are NOT the same AT ALL



i'd even say r's are "louder" but the x's "sound better"

oh well i didnt really know that i figured 3000 watts a piece alpine X's would be more than the 1500 watts a piece alpine R's, what is a good 12" round sub then?

yea i agree with jco1385, the r's will get louder, i used to run a couple x's they sounded amazing but not that loud of a sub, ive got some of the older orion hcca 12.2's and they get quite loud, a huge difference in spl over the x's bro, but there is way too many good choices now man

X2, type X's aren't meant to get loud, they are more of a SQ sub.

If you want something that gets loud off of moderate power look into a copper coil HDC-2.

BTW, the type R isn't 1500 watt, its 750 iirc, same with the type X. Dont go by max power go by rms.

Wow! $450 for a zx-1500?? You could get a 2500 for less than that. I only paid like $250 for my zx-1500

just an , the type x is 1000rms 3000w max (mine is addicted to 1.5k)

but yeah, they're not SPL oriented subs
