any idea how the morels sc compares to the ultimo i love my ultimos but im not wanting to dish out the cash again the ultimo 12 like .8 a piece idk how the sc will add up

I would have to model the comparisons in similar designs to figure what differences they may have, but the issue with that is, they may not require the same design to work best in anyhow, so the most a comparison can be done is by specifications of power handling and xmax, sensitivity, etc. But being from the same company, I believe they are, they should be fairly comparable in a conventional design I would imagine. Again, an exact answer to that would have to be tested.

well if you get any ear time with the morel sc id like to know your opinion on it. they are supposedly just an morel ultimo made a bit cheaper from older overstocked parts. i just like the transparency of the ultimo and ive yet to find another sub that compares

Oh sure thing man. If I get the chance to listen to one in the right box, I can consider that a usable project . Ill let you know when and if that happens in the future . I can also ask the purchaser of the enclosure for you as well on his opinions since he already has the driver. If interested.

id appreciate it im considering a pair of the 12s in a 2012 kia rio hatch but if they are no better than a w6 ill save a bit more for the ultimos

In all honesty, due to the use of low frequency reproduction, they may not be much different than the w6, considering the w6, to me, has been one of the best drivers from JL thus far. That is a quick and honest opinion to start with.
