yeah I look at the total price not shipping price alone cause I know sometimes I hike the shipping price and drop the posted price on ebay so i save a little $$ on ebay fees. hell alot of guys are charging $90 + shipping on ebay for the speakers, and these are new in box. real purdy too. would go with 2 if i have a bigger amp. Might check out prices on that new RE amp coming out in a week or so. looks like it could run 2 1500s nice.

so a pair will take 1200 Watts then right? I would probably do that but im trying to keep low wattage for now. Sometimes it feels as if my car cant take it too well. Is there any other subs that will be extremely effective with 350 watts each and like 1 cube each?

The 1500SPL's will do pretty well with 350 watts, and will take more when you decide to upgrade. I would definitely port them if it is possible, though.

I will most likely try to stay sealed. Do they not perform well in a sealed application?

I'm running my 2000SPL's sealed in a 1.00 cu.ft box right now and they get the job done pretty well. I've heard that they really do much better ported so I'm going to build a box in a few days. I'll let you know what difference it made.

BUT if you really do want to go sealed you might want to go with perhaps a Alpine Type R or maybe some Infinity Kappa Perfects... neither require much power to get moving and are optimized for sealed enclosures. Although they are SQ subs they can get pretty loud if fed some decent power, which 350 wrms should do fine.

    Re: Looking for 10" subs

Hey guys thanks for all the suggestions. I still don't know what to get. There are just too many **** subs to choose from!! I think I have narrowed it down to either Phoenix Gold, Kicker CRV, or Pioneer....

Lostsoul: I got the pm but I prefer to go new. Thanks anyway.

are u thinking on porting the subs? Cuz I know the CRVs dislike small boxes. That was one of the setups I disliked. Maybe it was just my car tho.

    Re: Looking for 10" subs

No I'm staying with 2 seperate 1.0 cu^3 Ft sealed enclosures. I'm looking more for sq than spl. Each sub will recieve ~300 wrms. Keep the suggestions coming.

I've also heard the Adire Audio Shivas are very effective in small sealed enclosures with little power... 300 wrms would really make them move. I think they might go a little over your $100 per sub budget, but it might be an option to consider. www.adireaudio.com

Also, you could try Elemental Design's subs. www.elementaldesigns.com

actuallly those subs like slightly bigger boxes. Last time I checked it was 2 cubes sealed. I think there was a 1 cube option with lots of polyfill but I know they prefer bigger boxes.

    EDIT: Talking about the Shivas^^

Icon31 Re: Looking for 10" subs

I see a lot of loyalty to kicker on this site ... i have primarily went with the kappa perfect series.

im trying to keep my new music maker much cheaper than it used to be but still want decent quality. a good mix of sq/spl.

the round solobaric's sound like a really good deal ... better than the kappa perfect 10's?
