    is there a noticible diffrence in bass between a sealed and ported box

    i was just wondering if there was a big enough diffrence in bass between a sealed and ported box . would it be worth it for me to get a ported one?

    yes there is a noticeable difference....but there is also a noticeable difference in SQ too. What are you looking for more SPL or more SQ?

    spl and im thinking of getting some new 12s so could any one recommend some that are high quality but not to expensive some where around 300-400 for 2 of them

    Blueprint 1203 x 2 should do the trick I think it'd be $440 for the pair. In a big ported box, tuned kind of high should give a bunch of spl, but the problem with playing music on a ported box that is tuned kind of high is that it tends to be really hard on the drivers if the music plays lower than the tuning frequency too loud. So, if you want a daily driver, you should tune it to around 33Hz. That might give a nice combo of spl and reliability.
