Sealed JL Dub 7 and Re Audio 15 XXX Sealed in SUV

Not trying to start a vs thread here but...

Has anyone compared the SPL of a w7 sealed vs the SPL of an XXX in a sealed box?

I search, but all these threads are about large ported box. This is going into an SUV and want to take up little room as possible. A JL Prowedge enclosure would be the perfect size.

I have the XXX 15 already , but thinking about changing

as said before. its the same output and quality. ive heard both ways - but it SERIOUSLY depends on the box and power.

eaither way, in a small sealed box - its going to be like 2kw to power it man.

The 15" xxx and the 13.5 W7 are the two subs that compare closely. And they do compare closely. I agree you wouldn't be upgrading, only side-grading (yes I realize that's not a real word lol). You already have one of the best SQL super subs made, you really need to change to multiple subs before you would have any sort of noticeable upgrade (in SQL).

thats what im thinking. im gonna need to throw alot of power to the sub.

with the JL, i can get the 1000/1 and its perfect for it.

I'm not bashing your car, I love them too, I wasnt impressed by the luxury of them at all, I don't think thats a selling point. Handling was impressive, I'm really excited to drive the new 3 series....

Re: Sealed JL Dub 7 and Re Audio 15 XXX Sealed in SUV

well i dont know if this helps much but in a sealed box I have seen alot of people dont like the xxx sealed. I tried the sx sealed and hated it. I threw the sx in a ported and its alot better. The jls I had were in sealed and they sounded amazing. But I ran 2 12w6v2's and I think I am going to go back to them now. So for me I prefer jl in the sealed rather than re, but thats my own 2 cents. And of course its gona take effect diffrent for everyones diffrent setups. I have a suv.

how much u selling the bmw for?... ygpm

A couple of hunters are out in the woods when one of them falls to the ground. He doesn't seem to be breathing, his eyes are rolled back in his head. The other guy whips out his cell phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps to the operator: "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator, in a calm soothing voice says: Just take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead? There is a silence, then a shot is heard. The guy's voice comes back on the line. He says: "OK, now what?"
