How much room do you have to work with?
If you could port the XXX 12, that may work. However, 6 will get pretty loud in a 3 cu ft box tuned to 32Hz! I am not sure what the XXX 12 needs in terms of a ported box.
My RE XXX 15 will be going in a 4.5 cu ft box tuned to 32Hz soon and hopefully, that will be nearly as loud as my XXX 18 ported was.....

Since you already have your amp, you are limited to what you can do with an array of 8's as you need to wire them properly to acheive the maximum power from your amp. You should determine if this is possible with 4 or 6 before you make any decision. The xxx will have xbl^2 and all its advantages, but its also the most expensive option at over $400. The SX is the next step down, very loud and pretty clean (not as clean as xxx), but lacks xbl^2. The RE array I cannot really comment on as Ive not been around one, but their biggest advantages seem to be cone area (easy to get alot with several small drivers), mounting depth and the awe factor of an array. Chose which of those fits your wants best, fits your budget, and go with that setup.
Personally I really like the look of an array. I really liked james33440's array he had, looked sweet. But, I also like knowing Im using the biggest baddest woofers out there, so its a tough call.
well i dont have the nine.1 yet but i was planing on getting it cause i was orginal get an 12 brahma but now idk cause the new ones i herd were not that good so i am getting a comepletly new set up idk what to get that will be louder than an SE and and 2 JL AUDIO 12 W3 adn 1 15 w3 i want loud but with good sound quility so what would u suggest i got like 300-350 for sub and 300-350 amp?

I cant tell you what you want.Originally Posted by WMStateChamp18
But I think you are doing a good job. Id be looking in the area you are, as far as subs... an array of RE's, SE's, an SX or XXX. Honestly if it were me, Id consider a treo of SE 10's. IMO SE's are a big step up from RE's, a treo of them would look sweet, sound good and cost around 450, leaving you about 300 for an amp. For that price you could get a JBL 1200.1, hifonics brutus or PG tantrum. You'd want to make sure you match the subs' impedances to the amp, whichever exact setup you decide you want.
edit: this is if I were only looking at RE, if it were me Id consider a couple other company's products also
what other products would u consider and why 3 subs?

and u would suggest like 3 se 10's over like 4-6 re 8's or over 4 re 10's?

Hmm 3 subs would make an impedance issue, depending on the amp you used. I was just thinking 3 to try to fit SE's into your budget.![]()
Its good you haven't bought the amp yet. I was simply saying you are more limited in what drivers you can use when you already have the amp. But since you dont, basically decide what speakers you want to use, and in what configuration, then pick an amplifier that will be able to match that impedance.
I would also consider Adire products (Koda 8's for example, I think they would be better than RE 8's due to their xbl^2) or a Brahma, maybe some used magnums (cant buy new anymore), Soundsplinter subs look promising for a good price, etc.
Dont get me wrong, I love RE, solid company with excellent product. I own a pair of xxx 15's and 6.5's myself. But, they don't necessarily have a line of subs that fits every person's needs or budget. Like I said above, Id be curious to see how an array of Koda 8's would work out. I think they'd probably sound better than the RE's.
what would 4 koda 8's sound like and what amp would u put with those?
and idk i was goin with a brahma 12 at first buti herd thenew ones were not as good but what bout how would the 4 8's sound
