    Blue Skin and Sub Boxes

I can get my hands on a product called blue skin. It is an industrial vapor barier used in construction. It makes an area water tight. I was wondering if i can line the inside of my box with this to keep it air tight. This stuff is virtually paper thin and seals excellent, will it work??

if you want an air tight system, you'll never get the trunk lid open. air will flow through the space where the lid and latch area meet, and if you have fold down back seats, you'll kiss those goodbye as well since there'd be no point putting them down

Is he talking about making the box air tight or the trunk air tight?

my bad. uhh, it MAY work, but it'b a lot of extra work. just use silicon or something around the edges, MUCH easier

Im willing to spend all the time i need to build this......taking my time will make it sound good. I dont want to just slap anything together. I'll do it right the first time. Besides this stuff is peel and stick. I also plan on siliconeing it too.
