i would go with the 4 8's
so what can the re re12's be compared to? I have never heard one and am kinda wondering.

Then you'll want a low tuned ported box...drivers don't really matter too much between the two because they're the same thing and the cone area is not THAT much different between the two sets you're contemplating.i like it in the balls. Thanks in advance

yea i forgot to mention that too. The box is really what changes the sound. Then its up to the sub to kick out the bass the box is tuned to or whatever.
