You know you're going to have to upgrade your electrical system, right?? And how big is the box going to be for 4 of those monsters?? I'm not sure about jl's amps but take a look at rockford fosgates 1501bd amps.

Re: Amp Help with 4 JL Audio 13W7

Well....if you wanted to run one amp per sub, you could go with the JL 1000/1's. That'll give each sub 1000w. PG Tantrum 1200.1 will give each sub 1200w. PG Xenon 1200.1 will give each sub 1200w.

Run them all to a JBL Crown 6000 watter: http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLA6000GTI

    -or-

Strap two RF T30001 together: http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCT30001BD - they are underrated, should still give you ~6000w @ 3ohm.

Its a popular misconception that Tantrum 1200.1's are rated for 1200 watts, they aren't. I have no idea why they aren't called 1400.1's because they are actually rated for a minimum of 1400 watts, and both of mine birthed at 1550 watts each.

For the original poster, what's this system going to be for? Im guessing show, because that's alotta cone area for a simple daily, and I cant see someone seriously running W7's for SPL.

The required electrical upgrades alone will probably trump the cost of my system.......

hell the 4 subs cost more then my whole car. 4 tantrums will do the job like mentioned above. haven't seen one yet that hasn't been benched under 1400 watts rms. now it's the problem of finding 4 of them.

Like I said, they shouldn't bench under 1400, because that's what they are rated for minimum.

If ya got the money I would have to say Go for that JBL and tell us all how it works!?!? Always been interested to hear one of those things power some subs! If not I agree with Squeak again on the Rockford's Power and putting two of them together. And of course those JL's are great cause I use to have the 1000/1 powering my 13w7

i price is no object, then the c2k-4kw would be sicc, but you will need one hell of an electrical system.
