Mtx thunder 8000 10'' won't fit in ANY box!

I just bought a mtx thunder 8000 10'' sub. And it won't fit in any box. I just got back from a car stereo place and it woulnd't fit in any of the 10 inch boxes. It has these things on the side that stop it from goin into a box. Has anyone else has any exsperiance with this speaker? Am I gonna have to cut a 10'' box out to like an 11''? Thanks alot in advance.

No I'm serious this is blowing my mind I can't find a box to fit this. I think I'm gonna buy one and sand it down but I don't think you should have to. Is anyone else runin thunder 8000's and had this problem?

Keep in mind that all subs have different mounting diameters. Even though two subs are 10" subs, their mounting diameter will quite possibly be different.

    It's a stock 12 spoke basket...

Take the gasket off and see if it fits..
