    So about the type R...

when i get this sub i definitly want to put it in a sealed enclosure, however, whci would be best? a smaller sealed or a larger sealed enclosure?

Btw, my car is a 91 eddie baurer Bronco....so i have a lot of air space!

Mine was loud as hell in a 1.1 cubic foot box, and it still maintained a lot of SQ.

Just don't give it more than 300 watts.

sure, give it all the power you want.

Just don't be surprised when 400 watts cooks it.

That will not happen unless your are irresponsible with your gain levels.

Gain control is a small potentiometer used to match the incoming voltage from your HU's preouts to your amplifier so that it drives itself to full power w/out clipping.

You're probably right.... I had my amp reaching full power at about 1/2 volume and i ususally had it playing at almost full blast.
