What do you think of my set up?

All right I got a new car (a sweet silver Corolla). As you probably guessed all the stock audio in the car has to go. I have a nice alpine head unit picked out, some focal speakers, and a mbquart component set. Finally the thump.

I am all about quality not quantity. I have some JL Audio connections and I can get a 13W7 for an undiscosed really cheap price. Well I only want one of them. I have a lot of trunk room and I rarely ever use it. I am thinking of making a huge almost 5 cubic feet box. 36.5 inches wide (trunk is 38), 14.5 inches high (trunk is about 15-16 high), and 22 inches long (trunk is much larger). Would having such a big box be bad? I want the thump. I know I need help on my mids, but Im not worried about that.

For the amp I am rollin with a nice JBL 1200. Yeah I know good choice. I know the W7 series is a hot one, but I am not here to debate it. I just want your opinion on the set up and perhaps some advice. Thanks a bunch.

Oh and I forgot to say the box is 1" mdf

I like the alpine HU idea, but I don't think I've ever even heard of a box that big for one W7...I could be wrong but it seems to me that instead of getting more bass out of the box you may get less due to the slopyness...with that much space won't your sub be slow and unresponsive?...maybe not...

Seems strange seeing as to how JL has made a nice box for the W7, can't you get a connection on the box too?

Oh, and please tell me if you do any electrical(power) upgrades. My Corolla needs some bad, but its so hard to find HO alternators for it and even getting it rewound was a no-go.
Just start a post, "Corolla owners..." and we'll come a runnin', lol.
