wiring three dual-4ohm voice coils in series will give you 2.67ohms final impedance. that will hurt your 400w plan a bit. parallel is out of the question because it will give you 0.67ohms.
i'm not impressed with the spl of my three jl 10s in a sealed enclosure(@min volume) and would bet a properly ported 12 could outpound me.
i also think the se will work fine with 400watts
