    question about subs

    im lookin for a good system for my car and when i was lookin at subs i saw sumthin that said "rms power" .......what does this mean is it any diff than peak power or what......sory but i dont know much about stereos ...and also is the Sony XS-L122P5 sub any good my friend has 2 of the 10 inch versions of this sub and they sound good......and what sony amp would be needed to power those 12's if i buy 2 of them?

    i saw sumthin that said "rms power" .......what does this mean is it any diff than peak power or what......
    RMS - root mean square, basically the average power that the subs can do continously. Much more usable in the real world vs. peak power ratings.
