subwoofer wattage question

hey im thinking about getting 2 pretty cheap pioneer 10s with a 500 watt max(i dont know rms) but i was wondering if a monocahnnel amp could power both or does it have to be a 2 channel. also if the amp is 500 watt max will it only give 250 to each speaker?

mono or a 2ch amp could work depending on the voice coils of the subs

if the amp has a 500watt MAX rating then no it wont give each sub 250watt,maybe 200 each but most likely 125



with that said, what are the voice coils on the subs?

what 500watt max amp were u lookin at?

it says its a 4 layer long wire voice coil and no specific amp i was just making an example. do u know any that could power those well and get a lot outta them (if possible try to keep it under lik 150 or so)

wtf is 4 layer long voice coil? Do u mean 4 ohm? Is it dual or single? Under 150? Mono or 2 channel will work. Mono I think is better. Why dont u get better subs? Answer me Pung Bish. lol j/k

hell if i know what it means that what it says on circuit city.com and im gettin the cheap ones cuz i dont have a bunch of money to put out. u got any freakin ideas?

man ur gonna end up getttin ripped by some dumb *** whos gonna make u think that he knows everything. If u want some cheap subs get some CompVrs or some MTXs but I would prefer the CompVRs. 10s or 12s. Im sure they are going for like 50 each and then u can put them in a ported box. Slapping pung bish. Then just buy like a 200 dollar amp and ur set pimpin.
