Looking for more thump&(maybe) sq - help

Well, I've been reading about the XXX and the blueprint 03 series and everything else, and I'm thinking it may be beneficial for me to get some to replace my Perfects. My first question, is it worth it to have two of these subs (XXX, Brahma, Blueprint, IDMAX) compared to my 3 Perfects, or should I just stick w/ what I have? Will the SQ be noticably better (keep in mind they are trunk installed), and will the SPL be higher w/ the two compared to 3? Thanks.

those thing own! the sq is incredible AND they have bump..
i'd stick w/ the 3 insteda getting 2 new ones..

I think what you have is nice. Are you getting the full 1200 watts out of your JBL (400/sub)? From my experience and from the word on the grapevine the SQ won't be all that much better than the Perfect, and some say they prefer the Infinity's. Perfects are pretty nice. They do lack a little SPL though. Since that is what you would be upgrading by changing you would want to go with another JBL 1200.1. Because power handling will be the biggest difference with the new subs.
I'm going to ramble now, I don't know all the math like SPL competitors do. You will be losing some displacement from cone area but increasing stroke. Since you will be working with only 1/3 less in cone area and doubling power, your SPL should at least double with the new subs and an additional JBL.

I can't think of one person I've ever heard of that prefers the SQ of the Perfects over a Brahma or IDMax. The stroke is dramatically increased on the XXX, although even more cone area is sacraficed due to larger surround. I would wager that the excursion of the other subs I listed is far more than the Perfects as well. I was letting my mind wander today at work as was thinking of this, and was curious of others opinions. Thanks for the responses so far guys.

I'm a little audio "pack rat" myself. I will buy something and switch it out without selling it. Have it lying around for another install or just to go back to a "different" sound. Sometime soon I will be buying a 12" Brahma and a JBL1200.1. Will switch out my L7's(and keep them) for the Brahma, but will have the JBL just because it's a good price, might need it some day, lol. Will be getting some Focal 165W's sometime a little after, and lay them next to the JBL for "future" use. So my true answer would be buy it and let it rip, lol. Someone here just did that when they heard about the XXX, I think it was Rangerman.

Yeah, I bought 2 12s for $359 each. My advise to you would be to get some. I found out about them by looking on another forum and asking a guy who had them what they were like. He said that it was the best SPL sub he had owned. He had also owned DD, Juggernaut, and Adire subs. Then he told me it was the second best SQ sub he had behind an IDQ. This sub is the best of both worlds, and is being called a "crossover" sub. Good luck with your decision.

When you recieve yours RangerMan, post a review on them. That, coupled with jlaine's review, may spur me to purchase some in the near future.

are you talking about the XXX 12's? or a different sub??

After all I went thru to go listen to a Brahma, now I have to do it all over again for the XXX, lol. Maybe I'll just wait for the "RangerMan Review" to come.

What the hell are XXX's ? I;m totaly lost here. Is this some sort of new sub or one that hasnt got much attention? Is there a website or something I can see this ****** subs in ?
