RE XXX vs. DD 9500 12s

Hey, I was just wondering what would be a better choice for SPL. RE XXX or DD 9500 "e". Both would be 12 inches. Both would be put into 2.5 cu. ft. ported tuned to 35 hz. Also, is that a good box size for the DD? Both would be D2 VC powered by an RE 35.1 at 1 ohm
    Thanks for the help

Are you going straight spl? I would say 4.0 cubesor larger would be good if you can get it, or even 3. 2.5 is kinda small. I second the DD.

    Best receiver ever?
    I think so

L7's are always popular for SPL. I'm partial to SQL though.

9500 for an SPL install, XXX for music. That's how Id decide, which is most important to you and this install.

Re: RE XXX vs. DD 9500 12s

I can't comment on the DD but the XXX does get very loud. And sound very good. Just on the Xbl^2 side I would choose the XXX. But hey I did.

    Other suggestions

    Fosgate T2
    ID IDQv3
    JL W7
    Adire Brahama
    MTX 9500
    Alpine Type-X

Re: RE XXX vs. DD 9500 12s

I was thinking about an MT, but what kind of box should I put it in, and what is its RMS wattage, it says nothing about it on the RE site. I am assuming it will take what a 35.1 will give it? Any help on this, PSI, would be great cause if I knew that stuff I may get an MT.

Only one 35.1 on an MT? It's gonna be wondering when the other 35.1 will be arriving.

Your charging system will give before the MT does.
