questions about sub settup...one ported vs. two sealed

ok i jus posted a similar topic on this recently...but i need this cleared up- i was recently told that 1 SE sealed to ported box is about 3db gain. and 1SE to 2SE sealed is about 3 db gain. would this not be relative equal in db? (which would be spl) this depends on if i spend $200 less on my system or not. really appreciate it. thanks everybody

i would say 2 would be much louder that on, assumeing proper power, in almost any enclosure but i may be mistaken.

anyone know of this sealed to ported-3db increase and the addtional 12 sealed being only 3db?

but ive now heard this from many people and ive made my decision to go with one ported...how many cubic feet and what should i tune it at? RE recommends 1.8cuft...
