RE SE 12" VS. RE SX 12" ?

what is the spec differentials on these two...rms, max output at what ohms...etc...i want to get the hifonics BX1500D because i can get a hell of a price for it and i am worried that itll blow the SE up...so how do these two subs compare?...naturally i am sure the SX is better but i want to be sure

Re: RE SE 12" VS. RE SX 12" ?

would the BX1500D match up alot better with the SX then?...or would the SE also be able to keep up with the amp?

Re: RE SE 12" VS. RE SX 12" ?

Amp will work fine with either. If the above post is true (too lazy to check right his second) about SE's being dual 4, then you'll be getting just about 800ish out of the 1500d at 2 ohms...and with a dual 2 ohm SX you'll be getting 1300 or so out of the 1500d at 1 ohm. Both power amounts are fine as long as you watch the gains and don't do anything stupid.

If it were me, I'd go with the sx, but money should really dictate which one you get.

Re: RE SE 12" VS. RE SX 12" ?

the sx is not better than the se... its all relative... the se's are
more for SQ and the sx is for SPL...

    an SE vs a BX1500 @ 1ohm = no more SE...

the SE's arent "in stock" because RE doesnt stock much
of anything... when you order it... the put it together, test
it and send it out to you...

then you can brag that you have subs that were assembled
just for you... while they go out and pay too much for
    W3's or something...

What would be the best amp choice for running two SE's then?

I believe what he meant to say is that SE's are DVC 4 ohm, and can only be wired to 8 or 2 ohms.
