    Icon32 Sub options

I have 2 12" audiobahns(don't wanna hear it) they sound like crap(could be box). I wanna know how would a RE se 12 in a ported box sound compared to they bahns.Or how would sx sound compared to it. And does anyone know how much they cost without me having to call them.My amp say "1400" watts but its no hifonics
it more of an off brand iit says 250rmsx2 at 4 ohms , so im gessing if you bridge it you'll get around 500or so if its right.i was thinking of getting a brutus1000 but i dont know yet. If you have any other thoughts besides $$$$ subs (ie brahma,xxx,w7). How does id max 12 sound. I can get one off ebay for 280. Iwas just wondering if anyone knew about prices on se or sx.My headunit is premier 860mp. Any help please would be nice.

in my opinion one real good sub is better than 2 weeker subs. my one magnum is louder than most peoples 2 12's in my area. i would say go with 1 12 or 15 in a nice ported box. also i have mine in a 95 grand cherokee with is similar to a blazer and it is pretty loud. make sure you deaden the hell out of the tailgate, quarterpanels, and roof.

    Re: Sub options

around 1400 watts rms off a pg tantrum 1200.1. a ported box with a lower tunning will give you excellent sq and will be a lot louder than sealed. how loud it will get all depends on the install. how good of a box you have, how well you install your amps, sound deadning, etc.

don't buy prefab boxes. design one yourself, if you can't have somone on the forum design one for ya and you can have one built for ya. a good box can make or break your system. you can have a great sub, but if it's in a bad box it won't sound good. most sub companies give box specs so you can either desing and build one with those specs, or have someone on the forum do it. you'll pay more than prefab, but it will sound a lot better.

never heard of it. if you are gonna get a top level sub, you should get a decent amp to match like a cadence z1200, memphis 1000D, pg tantrum 1200.1, orion 1200D, crossfire vr1000D, directed 1500D, viper D1200.1, kicker kx1200.1 just to name a few

depends on the sub. a magnum sounds good anywhere from 2-2.5 cubes tuned to around 30 hz. i noticed you said you were looking at a IDMAX which would be an excellent choice of sub. that would be good in something like 2.5-2.8 cubes tuned to 28-32 hz.
