I honestly think that the W7 will still have it in SQ....can't say for sure though because I haven't heard it. Does look like a beasty little fellow though doesn't it? Reminds me of a tooth on steroids.

Anyone heard them in person yet though? I'd be interested in what people have to say first hand.

I've heard the 13.5 w7 in a ported box off a 500.1 and off a 1000.1. I've heard lesser premiers that got just as loud and comparable in sound quality. Go for the Pioneer.

The Piooneer may be a formidable SPL woofer, but it won't even hold a candle to the W7 as far as SQ goes...

Not to pricey either. I've found them as low as $397, and msrp is $900. I dout you could find a W7 that cheap.

Does anyone know what the DUMAX numbers are for this woofer? The site said 10mm but I would find that hard to believe considering this is considered one of the top SPL woofers.

    HU: Sony Xplod MP80
    Highs and Mids:
    Infinity Kappa series 63.5i
    Infinity Kappa series 572.5cf

Subs: (3) Incriminator Audio DP 15's
    Sub amps: (2) Crunch GP3000D Pro's

This one is ridiculously LOUD !

Good point, I have never seen competition vehicles with Pioneers. I guarantee the 5000spls wont be setting any records. They are nice subs from what I hear, and Pioneer makes some nice HUs and that is all I would buy from them. I think my H2s would eat those Pioneers imo.

    Current setup...
    Infinity 6.5s
    Infinity 6x9s
Alpine Car Alarm for $14.00 installed (Workin at CC)

    Future Mods:
    Alpine 9825
    Speakers
    Some Amps
More subs than my car can handle (Four)
Hydraulics on a Stratus? Sure why not...
