Icon14 2400w and 6 cubic feet. Any recommendations????

    Hey I just got a 2000 Blazer 2 door. I Still have my old system, a Concept 2004 CCD2400 2400 X 1 @ 1 ohm and a Audiobahn AWT15X.

However I want to get a new setup and looking for suggestions. The AWT pounded very hard but sounded like ****, I want to get a more SQ system. All my friends have JL and so I don't want any JL equipment.

I want to keep my amp, well at least for now. If it doesnt do a true 2400w it does pretty close to it because it sure moved my 3000w RMS AWT. I am leaning toward XXX or some Brahmas. I guess my real question is should I get 2 12's or 1 15. Remeber this is a small SUV and the back area isnt that big. I want to be able to save room back there for actual usage. Would my amp be able to power 2 12s? Or is there any GREAT quality subs out there that dont need as much airspace and power, I want to use 5-6 cubes max. Thanks alot.

IDMAX 12's are 1000 wrms each, so your amp could power them well... They are much more SQ oriented, I'd put the split at 70/30 sq/spl. Sounds amazing, gets pretty **** loud in my 2.5 cubes @ 28hz box.

    HU: Apline 9815
    Sub: Image Dynamics 12 v3 @ ~ 28 hz
    Sub Amp: eD NiNe.1
    Comps: Looking towards ID CTX65cs
    Comp Amp: Needed! Got 150w x2 @ 4 ohms to sell ?

I am looking for a SQL system. My old system was loud as hell but sounded terrible. It was a competion sub. I want to beat a 13W7 with a 1000/1. Be loud, but clear. I am willing to pay around 650 for 2 subs if its worth it or 450 for 1 sub.

I guess im asking whats the best i can get with around 2000w and 6 cubes.
How much do the IDMAX run for?

6 ft is not enough for two XXX 15's, ported at least. You want 4ft per 15 before displacement, bracing and port volume. Two 12's should fit however, as RE recommends 2ft per 12 ported (for SQL). But, two 12's will run more than $650. Call RE, 6ft -might- be enough for a XXX 18. They recommend 8ft for the 18, but 6 might work.

It would be louder. If its worth the money is your call and your call alone.

RE recommends 2 cuft per 12 for SQL purposes. That's before bracing, driver displacement or port volume. Id say supa is about right, 5-6 cuft.

Re: 2400w and 6 cubic feet. Any recommendations????

ok. well thats about as much room as i have before displacements. But honestly, will 1 15 XXX be enough for a 2 door blazer, from what ive heard about the XXX it should be plenty.

    or how bout 2 12 brahma's, they are 379 each. 1 15XXX is 439 shipped.

I think that 2 12 XXX or brahma will be too loud and I wont even wanna listen to them at full swing. PLUS i have a 2400 watt amp that puts out between 2000 and 2400 watts. That wont be able to fully power 2 12's, correct?
