    Re: Project 150 db

I'd probably say the 2 L7s, although the tempests would be cheaper(i think). BUT the box is gonna be VERY crucial in getting that number, especially on a TL. How much power?

Is this going to be a wall?

    Re: Project 150 db

Out of those subs, for the cheapest, amount L7s win hands down.

Give them proper power and enough airspace nothing in their price range will compete without extreme knowledge of the product you're using and the physics behind sound and thus box building.

    Re: Project 150 db

The L7 option will be cheapest because I have one already, the old black cone ones. But I ah... Would like to go with something different. If you know what I mean...
The budget is LOW AS POSSIBLE of course... Say 600 bucks would be pushin' it.

How much does an 18" SX cost? And What Kind of labor is involved in building a "Wall?"

    18" SX goes for $310+shipping.

There is a good amount of labor in building a wall, but think of it as building a REALLY big ported box.

    Re: Project 150 db

That sure beats the 499 price on the Tempest! Instead of a wall i was thinking "coffin" style box. I could get 10 cubes in there easy, about 35 with a wall just behind the backseat. But that would mean downtime, which once I liscense the car is not ging to be an option.
Just a big coffin in the backseat is where I think this is going...

The main problem with a wall imo is it effectively take all use of the vehicle away except what can be done with/in the two front seats.

Okay... Obviously projects like this have ceased to be exciting. I suppose I'll just have to go and buy some Pyramid 18's and make a box out of cardboard soaked in Elmers glue... And drive around town like tough ****... And go to Aldi and buy Ramen noodles...
