    small trunk problems

i own a 1977 firebird and it has a very small trunk. its not even on the bottom but the deepest point is only 13". i've found some rockrord fosgate subs that i like (punch hx2) and i can't decide to get the 10 or 12. 10 would fit better and need less cubic feet in a box, but the 12 would probably hit harder. i was woundering if angled them (say 45 degrees) and buy a custom box thats longer make the 12's soound good and fit.
also, is there thast much spl differancebetween the 10 an 12.

any box will sound ok if the cubic ft. is the right size, given for the sub. and 2 12's would hit harder than the 10"s. in my opinion, 12"s hit quite a bit harder, but 10"s are more tight
