    The Great 10" subwoofer comparison

Came up with a little list of subs that satisfy my needs...good SQ, relatively low (under 300 watts) power requirements, decent output, total 4 ohm impedance, and costs around or less than $150. Out of these, which ones would you suggest I use for my home setup? Thanks in advance...sorry for the type of question...

    Soundsplinter RL-i 10"

    Dayton Titanic MKIII 10"
    anything else that gets recommended

why is that? just too big? i have an RE8 i got for free that ill be throwing in a ported box, for great SQ though, go with what denim said, if this is for a home theater port it and tune very low, like 25hz, if for music just do the norm as used in car audio.

Re: The Great 10" subwoofer comparison

You can really run anything in an HT setup. But out of those subs i'd probably have to go with the Dayton or the RE.

    I personally have 2 10" MTX 4000's in 4 cubes tuned to 20 hz.

Just make sure you got the proper power.

Yeah, the subs dont go QUITE that low, but still have a decent range.

I'm thinking about upgrading subs and getting a plate amp for them.

I have a pair of decent house systems, but I was thinking about putting a pair of Vega 12's in huge and I mean huge boxes, just to see how it would turn out
