Sub Repair?

my friend picked up a Diamond Audio M5 10 from some guy who crashed his car and the sub got messed up...i took a look at it and the whole surround isnt glued to the basket anymore...so i was just wondering what it would take to repair it, if all that wold need to be done is glue it back down or get it reconed...i want to end up buying it from him and fix it so if anyone could help me out...

i would say glue but i woulnt no what kind to use...thats what they use when makin em..

If there's nothing wrong with the voice coil, you could probably just glue down the surround and it should be all good.

yeah i would think so too...and i would just glue it but i dont wanna mess it up for a proper repair later on...but since the whole surround isnt connected anymore i dont know if it needs to be aligned or anything...

ohh and my friend that has it had played it when the surround wasnt connected cause he heard a nasty popping/clicking noise and realized that something was wrong...but he doesnt care too much cause he got it for free for doing some car work on the guys car...so i think he may have abused it by playing it when he knew it was messed up

if you're going to glue it down, use a 2 part epoxy glue(you can find it almost anywhere hardware stores ect ect) mix them together and glue
