Rate these subs from worst to best.

    http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/CompareItems.aspx?CompareItems=13267,12081,14223,1 0905,

I'm looking for a new sub in a ported box, drivin by a 350w amp. All of those subs are 4 ohm. The Alpine Type R comes in a 4 ohm (but no specs for that specific model) and the Rockford Frosgate is dual 2 ohm.

out of all those, I'd choose the Type R.

    but that's just IMO.

Yeah type R's do preaty well in sealed enclosure giving at or more than the rmx of the sub which is 300watts, just make sure if you put it in a sealed enclosure that it is close to the factory specs because if not the sub will distort and sound all crummy... But if you want some serious bass out of the type r then throw it in a ported enclosure cubed around 2.5-3.0 ft and tune it around 38hz, that whut i had my exact box to (3cubes tuned to 38hz) and **** that thing pounded .... over all i think the type r is a well built subwoofer, i think the best place to buy it would be off the net tho, becuz its like 200 bucks in stores, i got myne at circuit city for 89.99 because they had over stocked and bought like 30 more than they were supposed to so they sold the 30 remaining on clearance and i got a hold of that!!!
p.s sorry i kinda stole your thread
