    eD vs. profile

Alright guys, i've asked a bunch of diff. questions so far but havent gotten any specific answers, i've narrowed my options. i have an audiobahn aw1200q sub right now bein pushed by a profile clarus 600m. my choices are 1) to keep the way it is and buy some component speakers 2) upgrade to an eD 13.kv.2 with the profile amp or 3) buy the package deal of the eD 13kv.2 and a Nine.2 amp for 250, i could probly get the sub alone for about 30 after i sell my bahn and put it towards the 13kv.2. what do yall think? worth the 250 for the new sub and amp? or just spend 125 for new sub? or dont even change? open to any other sub options that would work well with this amp also. thanks.

    Re: eD vs. profile

It all depends on where your system is lacking to you, and what your goals are.

What is your primary reason in considering this upgrade?

Is your front stage strong enough to hold it's own?

Are you dis-satisfied with your bass response?

Have you spent a good amount of time just tuning and tweaking what you have?

Start with that, once you determine your systems limits, you will then have a more clear picture of which upgrade would be most beneficial.

    Re: eD vs. profile

Man they didnt file bankruptcy ..... I talk to ben milne occasionally when he isnt busy , from what i know they arent bankrupt just small buisness problems . Also ben is a good guy i would deal with him anyday , and all thsoe peopel in the past whom claim Bs stories show me prof not words. Anyway ED is still a good company i was considering getting some comps from them they are made by CDT and cheaper then regular CDT's so id actually be savign money . Also you cant beat the nine.1 1250rms for 250$ thast a good deal but anyway i've said my peace.

So you believe everything a rep tells you? <hey delvryboy, missed you sweetums>

Doesn't it strike you as a little odd that eD has to bolster their own reputation by leaning on the backs of companies that can make decent products, like CDT?

I find it strange that they can't even manage to carve out their own name, it's always "try these components, it's made by CDT only cheaper!" "Check out 'our' amps, made by Avionixx, only not!"

Wow... Now that's something I'd be proud of.

No but do you always believe gossip aroound the net i mean to be honest its hard to know the real truth unless you're there so most arguing of it is pointless , but i do agree with you on using other company's to make there products , but remember almost everyone uses a build house for subs and amps ect... But i know what ya mean .

    Re: eD vs. profile

seriously, leaning on the backs of other companies for products is so unoriginal .. b/c RE totally made their own amps in house.... and Adire did too...and its amazing how the anaba group products all somehow came out identical despite being completely seperate companies, oh and Eclipse.. yep, they build everything in house.. actually Mr.Fuji Tsu Ten himself hand assembles each and every eclipse product.... and the Arc brothers send their subs out of the california shop at a remarkable rate for just the two of them... amazing guys they are..

oh and btw, Value isnt making the ED amps...they do have the same heatsink, but if youd pop in sometime and check out the pics of the internals of the Nine.x series vs any Value product you will see pretty clearly that it isnt even remotely similar to anything they make..

    btw, Value would be "avionixx"

And yes, Ben called me up from the plane somewhere over nigeria and told me he finally pulled it off after all these years, managing to rape every customer on the entire internet at once and run off.. then he told me to have a nice day... what a sweet guy...

why all the discussion anyways, with funky pups going for peanuts by the six pack there should be no need to even talk about anything else!
