Icon32 Need a shallow sub!!! ***PIC***

I have a box that fits behind my seat in my regular cab toyota tacoma truck.

The box could fit a jl w0 sub... I have a 600 watt RMS amp and i want a semi-powerful sub to go with my amp. The problem is that my box has fits ABOUT a speaker with a mounting depth of 4 inches.

You guys have any ideas of subs that might work with what i have?

First of all, you build the box to match the sub, you dont buy the sub to match the box.....buy a new sub, shallow depth, and build a new box. Those boxes arent difficult to build.

there has to be something out there that will fit in my box...

I had a sub that was about an inch too deep... is there anything i could buy to make this sub work? I was thinking about getting a square foot of 1" mdf and cutting a 9-1/4 hole in it and screwing it onto the box i have now... would that work?

Have you looked at Blaupunkt? More specificly the Overdrive series. I'm not shure what size sub you are trying to put in that box but the mounting depth is 2.2" on the 12" and the 10" Overdrive woofer. The only thing is that the Overdrive subs are rated at 200 watt RMS and 600 watt MAX. Don't exactly know there enclosure requirements so I would ask them about that if you decide to look into it.

An Re 8 with about 200 watts rms would be great. In that little cab, that would be enough bass for you to notice it. Those do great in ported boxes.
