15" XXX in reg cab s10

Anyone have a 15" XXX in a reg cab s10? I have mine in my Deville and it gets **** loud but I am going to be doing a blow thru and was wondering how loud it gets in a s10. I dont want the whole cab rattling like a can.

hmm. S-10s are too small to go with buckets like i did. But u could Cut out the passenger seat. Leave the center piece. You could make that look nice. Just no one could ride with you.

Ya thats why I am going to do a blow thru with it. I love bass but not that much heh. Any suggestions on how to do a blow thru where the box sets even with the cab wall?

Re: 15" XXX in reg cab s10

There isn't the room in a reg cab S10 unless you really want it to be inconvienent. I have to scoot the seats up quite a bit just to get 2 small 12''s in there (small i mean short mounting depth). With more mounting depth you're basically going to have to create a wall and have your seats scooted up a lot.

OK here is what you do goto your local camper top and truck accesory place ull needa good fiber glass bed cover that seals good to protect the box . Then cut out the biggest hole u can from the bed into the cab , also get ahold of a 4- 5 inch accordian boot thats used on camper tops some come with a plastic lip with screw holes easier for mounting , then before u lay the boot make sure u run a bead of silicone to seal it better . And the just build a box to mount flush with the bed to cab hole and bam ur done I was planing on doing this with my 85 Chevy single cab but a cheaper and easier way is a sleeper snug hard to find but it basically removes ur back glass and has about 6 cubes of space in them , thats another option , its made of figerglass so i think the cut through is a better idea hence you get ina wrech ur subs will hit you in the head not a good feeling lol .

Re: 15" XXX in reg cab s10

I'm doing the same thing with the box in the bed. I plan to brace the bed wall with the cab wall by welding pieces of square tubing between them. Then i'm going to make the face of the box about 2 inches bigger all the way around so it will sit nicely with the cab wall. Then bolt the face down and the bottom of the box down to the bed. After that i'm covering the entire bed and the box with rhino liner. No one will be able to steal that ****.

good luck with that. . . i seen someones truck that tried to brace the bed and the wall by welding it together and it cracked the back of the cab in several diff places. because of the way the bed twists. i dont know if its such a good idea, just use lots of weather stripping
