i recomend infinity because they have always made some good subs, easpecially for sq. if not these then i would go with jl audio because they are inbetween subs of spl and sq, i hope that help.

personally i think that all jl audio is are overpriced subs that are good. there is better out there for less in my opinion. go with the infinity's or if you were looking to spend that much for a sub like on those jl's then keep the kappa perfect series for about 189 from www.mmxpress.com try that sight they have them on there for that price. yeah it's 20 bucks more than those jl's but those subs are extremly clean bass and good sq my friend is running a MTX amp that is 1200 watt's class d mono block with 2 12" perfect's and is hitting like 145 at the cone. so not too bad.

    keep it thumpin,

i had a kappa 10.1 b4, but only 1 wouldnt push enough air for my car.
the 10.1 is $400 here, and the 12.1 is $450, so im not buying perfects.
    they are too much.

are the MTX Thunder6000 series any good? are they an SPL sub kinda?
what would be better, MTX 6104 or Inf. Ref 1020W

The MTX amp your using will put out 300w x 1. I had two 10" Kicker Competition VR subs in that power range that sounded great. But back then they weren't quite as power hungry as they are now.
Infinity subs are great for sound quality, but lack in the SPL department. Many people buy Infinity subs not knowing that going into it, and get rid of them because of it. The Perfects are actually pretty cheap for the high level of SQ they put out.
I would say go with Kicker VR's, but of those 3, I say the MTX's are your best choice.
If you want to move some serious air, look into getting the JBL1200.1 amp.

I'm never wrong, EVER! Just ask me.

my amp is MTX Thunder8302, it is:
    425x1 RMS bridged.

    75x2W RMS.....
i here MTX underrates their amps, and this amp is expensive where i live.
    like $500-$600 CDN.

this is a good amp to push (2) 10" subs running them @ RMS power, say if the RMS was 200-250 ?

    a there i from ontario

Not bad amp man.RF is good **** but futere shop just picked up the rf line and i say they are way over priced.I think you should look at alpine type r's.May i ask why you are stuck on buying 2-10's.I have owned 10's and 12's and IMO I like 12's better,I am also wanting to try the new 15" t ype r (2 ohm dvc).I find though 4-10's sound pretty nice but you can blow 10's outa tha warter with a 15 so...its just a trial and error game(as some say wasting money and upgrading your system with no limits).
